Perogies Rule
Our gals, fortified with Bismarcks and Perogies I'm sure, had the heft to win their A draw games and qualify for the Championship Round which begins Sunday night at 7'ish o'clock.
So the ladies have some time off to view the sites and maybe sneak over to that nice casino down by the waterfront. After some tough games, particularly against Cathy Trowell of the famous Callie Club in Regina, they have earned a rest and a chance to lose all of their money in the home of Lotto Central.
Right there in downtown Sault is Lotto Ontario HQ, where all of the money from the "Stupid Tax" ends up. Lotto Ontario is called the "Stupid Tax" because folks actually line up to pay it. I know if I won a Million dollars next week I would have to conclude that, after 25 years or so, they are still up on me.
The good folks at the Soo Curling Club are doing a bang up job keeping the scores up to date and deserve a round of applause.
Way to go gals, keep thumping.
